A buried liner cannot be judged from the finished ground surface. Drain relining repair records are useful when they connect the original fault, the section treated and the visible condition after the work.
Keep the before and after views on the same pipe
The starting CCTV should locate the defect from a chamber and direction of travel. Completion footage can then show the corresponding liner ends, visible internal surface and any branches included in the work.
Store both views with the repair description and any limitation noted during the job. A future drainage company can understand the buried change without relying on a vague note that the drain was lined.
Check that the evidence belongs to this repair
The business named on the invoice, the pipe reference and the footage location should point to the same work. This is a provenance check, not proof that every hidden part of the repair is fault-free.
